Reviewing Las Vegas shows as I see them. I am not employed or paid by anyone to see them, or review them. Its just my opinion, love it or hate it.

Ralphie May @ South Point

Ralphie May can be seen a couple times a year at the South Point Casino in Las Vegas. I make an effort to try to see his show each time he is here. A sucker for comedy, I find myself laughing until I can barely breathe throughout the entire show. Ralphie is upfront with his humor and its something that should be respected within the comedy community. All too often you hear comedians regurgitating others material, its so refreshing to hear someone as genuine as Ralphie May. Go to any show in Las Vegas and the acts have a time limit. The show will start at a specific time and the headliner will be done within their given time, every time. Ralphie often (if not always) goes beyond his time slot, in hopes that his audience feels they got the show they hoped and paid for. I think he can safely say he does just that. I love that he keeps Las Vegas on his tour schedule, and hope to make his next show. If you get the opportunity to see him when he's in town, or in your town, where ever that might be, go! You won't be disappointed.

Steel Panther @ Mandalay Bay & Green Valley Ranch

Steel Panther, an 80's hair band, plays every Friday at House of Blues at Mandalay Bay and Green Valley Ranch on Saturdays (which last I checked, that show is free for locals). This isn't your typical cover band by any means. And DEFINITELY not for young children or anyone who is a self proclaimed prude. Just saying, if you don't enjoy crude humor, don't go see Steel Panther. I on the other hand, laugh my butt off every time I go.

Believe @ Luxor

Sigh. I hate to say it, but this show doesn't deserve to be a Cirque du Soleil show. Ok, ok, let me rephrase that to be fair. Cirque du Soleil shouldn't have to claim Believe as one of theirs. That is more accurate. Let me back up a few steps. Criss Angel's Believe Cirque du Soleil show is at Luxor in Las Vegas. I had heard prior to going to the show that it just doesn't hold a candle to any other Cirque show in town. Let me be honest, I had heard that people walked right out of the theater mid show.

Mystere @ Treasure Island

Mystere, the Cirque du Soleil show at Treasure Island, recently went dark for 1 month to make some changes to the show and the theater. My husband did some structural engineering work on the renovations so we received tickets to view the dress rehearsal last night. Not having seen the original production prior to going last night I cannot compare to the new one. However, I will say I absolutely loved what I saw last night.

Love @ Mirage

The Beatles Love Cirque du Soleil show at the Mirage is one of the few I have seen without getting my tickets from Houseseats.com. I would say it is one of the better Cirque shows here in Las Vegas. Based on the Beatles, the stage is set in the round so there isn't a bad seat in the house.
